What is Scouting It Out? It is a resource for those involved in Outdoor Youth programs such as Boy Scouting, Girl Scouting, Camping and other Adventure programs, Team Sports, and for that matter any Outdoor enthusiast. Scouting It Out is operated by Scouters- to find and offer those products that are needed to improve and enhance the level and quality of programming every youth deserves and to make your adventures safe and comfortable. We are here to help you find products that you need at a reasonable price and with a great selection. If you are not sure what you need or want- let us help you.
In our Camping department, we have a broad selection of gear from companies such as Coleman, Slumberjack, and Stansport. The Cooking area has products for base camp or tailgating from Coleman, Lodge Cast Iron, Camp Chef, Mair, and for the backpackers- Jetboil. Also, for our backpackers, in our Personal Safety department, we have SteriPEN- the latest in Water purification, and Katadyn water filters. Our Personal Safety department also offers HeatMax Instant Cold Packs and EverCool bandanas as well as Hot Hands hand warmers and Toasti-Toes. We also have NUUN Hydration tablets and Steramine Sanitizing tablets. Our Weather department has both portable and mounted Weather stations from companies such as La Crosse and Oregon Scientific, Weather Alert Radios from Oregon Scientific, Lightning Detection from Boltek, Strike Alert, and Thunderbolt, and NOAA Weather Radar software from Storm Predator and Aninoquisi.
We have a quality line of BDU style cargo pants and shorts, designed for use in the outdoors and economically priced, from Propper- the supplier to the US military. Boonie style sun hats are also available as are fun T-shirt styles. In keeping with our respect for our Nation, we have the complete line of American flags, State flags, and custom flags, from Annin & Company- the oldest American flag manufacturer. We also have DeLorme Mapping products such as Street Atlas, Topo USA, and Earthmate GPS units.
